So you’re thinking about starting a blog but don’t know what to blog about?
You’re not alone!
So many struggle with this in the beginning because there’s so much to consider when you’re new to blogging.
When I first started my blog I really struggled with what blog niche to choose.
I love food, but didn’t want to write about food. And I went through this thought process with every topic I thought of!
I finally decided that given I was trying to save money, pay off debt and make a side income, that I would focus my blog on these things.
The purpose of this post is to help you decide what you want to blog about, and I’ve included sub-topics under each main topic below. This helps to narrow things down if you want to focus on a very specific audience.

You want to choose a topic that incorporates these three things:
- Interest – How interested are you in the topic?
- Market – Is there a high market demand for the topic?
- Skills – What are you good at? Can you use these skills to create valuable content?
I will be updating this post regularly as new blog niches emerge, so be sure to check back in regularly!
Let’s begin!
